I’m Usrah Hamzie, a transformational nurse executive with more than three decades of leadership experience in healthcare — from bedside nursing to the boardroom. Over the years, I’ve served in many roles — bedside nurse, supervisor, director, and most recently Chief Nursing Officer at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Each chapter has strengthened my belief that leadership in healthcare is both an art and a calling.
